ImageXpress Micro Confocal

ImageXpress Micro Confocal equipment

Overview: This high-content imaging system features a unique confocal technology which allows you to explore more physiologically relevant, complex three dimensional models including spheroids, tissues, and whole organisms and to generate publication quality images at high throughput for samples in slides or multi-well plates. It is an inverted microscope system capable of collecting both transmitted and fluorescence light images at a very high speed.

Combined with the MetaXpress High-Content Image Acquisition and Analysis Software, the ImageXpress Micro Confocal system is a complete solution that enables you to interpret your images, analyze and understand your data, and explore new ideas—in both widefield and confocal modes.

Objectives: 4x, 10x, 20x/0.75 Plan Apo ESWD, 20x/0.45 S Plan Fluor ELWD, 40x and 60x Nikon air objectives.

Camera: High quantum efficiency, 16 bit sCMOS.

Filter Sets: DAPI, GFP/FITC/Alexa488, Rhodamine/TRITC/CY3, Texas Red/mCherry, CY5.

Software: MetaXpress High-Content Image Acquisition & Analysis Software.

Computer: A Super Micro (Supermicer) workstation with Windows 7 operating System.

Capabilities: The ImageXpress Micro Confocal system with its supported MetaXpress software can capture high-resolution images, recognize and segment objects, calculate parameters, and then translate your information into meaningful data.

It can be used to explore cellular mechanisms such as differentiation, proliferation, migration, toxicity, and translocation, as well as morphological responses such as neurite outgrowth and angiogenesis.
