Muthugapatti K. Kandasamy, Ph.D.

Dr. Kandasamy has been working as the Director of BMC since its inception in 2012. He has more than 35 years of Optical Microscopy related experience (via four institutions: University of Madras (India), University of Hamburg (Germany), Cornell University and University of Georgia) and over 80 peer-reviewed publications. He has expertise in confocal, superresolution and lightsheet microscopy. His major research has focused on plant reproductive biology, self-incompatibility, cell-cell communication and actin cytoskeletal gene families.
